Plant it, grow it, eat it

Join a community garden to grow your own food

Get growing with Garden Friendly Community Fort Bragg. We're here to help you find a plot in a community garden, join a garden management team or volunteer to help with a garden.

Fort Bragg community garden plots are available to people of any race, gender, or religion.

You can become a member of a community garden by filling out a plot application. Only 1 application per household, please.

We are taking applications now for garden plots and are actively looking for garden managers. Use the form to apply for both.

Apply for a Plot

Please read the Community Garden Guidelines to learn what it means to be a member of a community garden. Members not only take care of tending their plots but also are required to provide at least 12 hours per year to the overall maintenance of the garden.

Plot Assignments

Plots are available on a first come, first served basis.  If all the plots are full, you'll be placed on the waitlist in the order we received your application.

Deadlines
Applications for plots are accepted until filled. We will contact you as we process applications.

Plot Fees
The cost for a plot is .50$ per square foot. So, a 50 square foot plot, for example, is $25 for the year. Fees for plots are listed on each Garden's page. If you can't afford a plot fee, please contact us. We have limited resources, but we want to insure that anyone who wants to grow their own food, can.

Volunteer
If you'd like to volunteer to help out in a garden, please go to that Garden's page and contact the Garden Manager.

Find a Garden

Each of our community gardens provides members with a garden plot, tools, water, compost, and educational resources to help them grow their own food.
